THE ROYAL ACADEMY & THE LANSDOWNE CLUB, LONDON W1
Monday 28 January 2019

MONDAY 28TH JANUARY:

THE ROYAL ACADEMY - timed entries to Bill Viola/Michelangelo Exhibition
Michaelangelo's exquisite drawings take us to the emotional core of his work.  In 2006 pioneering video artist Bill Viola after seeing some of these drawings at Windsor Castle, tried to convey in a radically different medium the thresholds between birth and life.  Both artists honour the symbolic power of sacred art.  This exhibition explores the affinities between then.  Timed entries 11.00 and 14.00

THE LANSDOWNE CLUB - guided tour of Club by curator Pamela Campbell-Johnston who gave us a fascinating Lecture on the history and Art at the Club in January 2017 and a Lecture on celebrating 250 years of the Royal Academy in April 2018.
