THE ARTS SOCIETY EAST SUSSEX

Welcome to The Arts Society East Sussex

Member of The Arts Society

The Arts Society East Sussex (ASES) is celebrating the 30th Anniversary of its inauguration in 1989 under the Chairmanship of Patricia Simpson who is currently a Life Member of our society.  The Arts Society (formally NADFAS) was formed and registered as an educational charity in 1968, and consists of member societies whose aim is to increase enjoyment, knowledge and stimulate interest in the preservation of our cultural heritage.  There are now approximately 95,000 members with over 400 societies throughout the UK (23 in Sussex), Europe and New Zealand and 38 societies in our sister organisation in Australia.

The Arts Society (TAS) is a leading arts charity which works to advance decorative and fine arts education and appreciation, alongside promoting the conservation of our artistic heritage.  ASES currently supports Young Arts scholarship through the Sussex Area and we are currently looking to establish a link with Young Arts locally in the Brighton area.  The Arts Society opens up the world of the arts for everyone of all ages to enjoy, learn, participate in and preserve.
